About Bibol

At the end of the 70's, I, Little Moon, was 13 years old.

As peasant girl, Little Moon left Vietnam by herself for France. She studied and learned how to speak French. After 20 years of a professional career in France, Little Moon decided to return to visit her home land, with her husband. Together they discovered the Vietnam countryside, from which she only had known as my small child. During their traveling in Vietnam, they became interested in finding a way to develop a fair trade system: to present the techniques of the ancestral Vietnamese craftsmen in France. They wanted to combine tradition and durable development, fair trade and economic growth for the Crafts people. So they create Bibol. Bibol conceives and underlines the ecological & artisanal products in bamboo.

Little Moon started to work in the fields when she was 8 years old. She had experienced herself, of small children working like adults. The lack of opportunity, motivated Little Moon. Since 2007, she and her husband have been developing equitably the production of bamboo bowls
